Wren has worked in the human services field for 18 years in fundraising, development, and communications roles for health care, housing, mental health services, and early childhood education for organizations including Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley, Housing and Services, Inc., and the Supportive Housing Network of New York. She is the former Deputy Director of the Center on Media, Crime and Justice at John Jay College, where she continues to serve as a consultant. Wren was elected to the Beacon City Council in November 2021. She is active on Beacon’s Conservation Advisory Committee and the Advisory Board of the Foundation for Beacon Schools.

Wren grew up in Conyers, Georgia, a 2nd-generation Filipino on her father’s side. She is a mother of two children at home. She obtained a BFA from the DePaul Theater School in Chicago and studied Urban Policy and Analysis at the New School. Post
