Each day the families in our buildings are facing financial hardship due to additional, unexpected expenses caused by COVID-19 – childcare, cab fares to safely travel to work, health and safety supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer, cash assistance to meet their immediate basic needs, and educational supplies for their school age children who are now at home. Living on incredibly tight budgets, most of the low and extremely-low income tenants in our buildings cannot afford these new expenses.
To help tenants facing hardship, we have created a Tenant Emergency Assistance Fund. One hundred percent of the money raised for the Fund will go directly to tenants in our buildings to help them meet these unanticipated expenses. Your support will provide the most vulnerable New Yorkers with a lifeline during this crisis.
