The New Destiny Team Successfully Completed the Marathon on November 2, 2025
New Destiny was invited to participate again as an official charity partner after a successful debut in 2024.
Six amazing individuals: Nicole, Kevin, Taylor, Ernest, Suzanne, and Joey, ran as part of the New Destiny Team through all five of New York City’s boroughs. It was a 26.2-mile block party through the world’s most diverse city that ended in Manhattan’s iconic Central Park.
We are grateful to Nicole, Kevin, Taylor, Ernest, Suzanne, and Joey for completing the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon and exceeding their fundraising goals in support of New Destiny.

Nicole Branca
Nicole Branca is our Chief Executive Officer. This will be her 5th marathon, proudly her 2nd for New Destiny.
Fun Fact: One of the things I love most about running is seeing new places. My personal favorite was being able to run around the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, originally built in the 6th century BC and is the site where the modern-day Olympics began in the 19th century. With about 500 miles of training ahead of me this summer/fall, I welcome suggestions for interesting runs in NYC, especially in the outer boroughs!
Kevin Conley
Kevin’s favorite song to run to is Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Runnin’ Down A Dream
Fun Fact(s): I’ve traveled to Ireland over a dozen times and have seen the Dave Matthews Band over 25 times.
Taylor Connors
A bit about me – I grew up in Bethesda, MD and went to Syracuse University before moving to Brooklyn with my cousin, best friend, and our dog, Harley. Running is a tradition in my family, and this is my first marathon!
As someone with personal experience with domestic violence, I know what it’s like to feel unsafe in your own home. That is why New Destiny Housing’s mission is so important, and why I am deeply humbled to be running for such a wonderful organization. Wish me luck!
Ernest Ialongo
This is my fourth marathon, and second for New Destiny, along with nearly two dozen half-marathons along the way. Hoping to go a bit faster this year in the marathon and looking forward to the training.
Fun fact: love traveling and running in every location I visit.
Suzanne Reisman
Despite swearing I’d never do it again, I’m lacing up for my 3nd marathon! I’m running for New Destiny because “having a safe, affordable, supportive, and beautiful place to live is the foundation every person deserves, and New Destiny is the only housing provider in NYC to offer this to survivors of domestic violence and their families.”
Fun Fact: My favorite time to run is just before the sun rises because NYC has a magical quietness to it.
Joey Sinchak
I grew up near Albany, NY, but have been running the mean streets of New York City since moving here in the fall of 2013. I am a lawyer, crossfitter, soccer player, and yes– runner! This will be my 2nd NYC Marathon, but first one running for New Destiny Housing! I’m running for New Destiny to raise awareness and support for an absolutely necessary cause. This organization provides live-saving services to communities that desperately need them. I am honored to be selected and proud to give energy to this cause, raise as much money as I can in support of it, and cross the finish line in November representing their (our) team!
