Rachel E. Miller, Treasurer

Rachel has served on the board of New Destiny since 2015, and as Treasurer since 2016. A retired nonprofit executive and government official in the health and human services sector, Rachel held senior roles at a number of prominent organizations, including the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), Public Health Solutions, and the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco). Throughout her career, Rachel spearheaded initiatives in public health, housing and community development, child welfare, immigration and workforce development, raising millions in funding, introducing performance-based systems, and advocating for impactful social justice legislation.
Rachel received an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Wesleyan University. A fourth-generation New Yorker, she has dedicated her retirement to exploring and championing this exhilarating city and making it a safe, affordable and rich place to call home.
