Emergency Food Assistance

If you are struggling to secure food for yourself and your family, or are having issues with your food benefits, there are hundreds of food-related resources available to you across New York City and Westchester. Note that this is a non-exhaustive list of those resources:  

Food-Pantry Lookup

    • Find free food close to you. Input an address and find food pantries, soup kitchens, and more. Find a map with hours of operation, addresses, phone numbers, etc.

    • Another free food availability map. This also includes City Harvest Mobile Markets locations, which offer free fresh produce in all 5 boroughs.

Families with Young Children

    • Upper West Side of Manhattan food distribution Tuesday through Friday 9AM-1PM  
    • Call to inquire about food delivery if you have children 0-5 years old

 

For Seniors

    • Get meals delivered if you are 60+ and have a physical or mental disability preventing you from preparing food for yourself. 

 

Kosher

    • Monday through Thursday 3-8PM Kosher Dinner Service in Flatbush, Boro Park and Forrest Hills 
    •  You can also make an appointment to pick up a food package

    • Kosher food pantry look-up  
    • Met Council also has one-time emergency food cards. If you have the need for food and domestic violence services, you may call 212-453-9618.

 

Halal

    • Halal food pantry food distribution. Visit the website to see the various addresses. Distribution days are Monday through Friday, one day at each location across the city.
