New Destiny Housing Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 12 West 37th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018 (“New Destiny,” “we,” “us,” “our”), takes seriously the privacy and security of the information we collect and process. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the processing of personal information in relation to your access and use of our website, www.newdestinyhousing.org (the “Site”), and is incorporated into and subject to the New Destiny Housing Corporation Terms of Use (the “Terms”).  Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

  • We use contact information to send you newsletters, updates, and other materials to inform you about New Destiny’s programs, activities, and initiatives, and provide information about ways you can contribute to and engage with our programs, activities, and initiatives;
  • We use donation-related information to enable you to donate to New Destiny as well as for tax, administrative, and future fundraising purposes;
  • We use personal information shared in correspondence with us to review, understand, and respond to your questions and requests; and
  • We use automatically collected information about use of our Site to monitor aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed, understand and analyze the usages trends and preferences of visitors to our Site, to improve the Site, as well as for fraud detection and information security purposes.

For clarity, we do not sell or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. We only share personal information with the parties and for the purposes set out above.

  • You may decline to share certain information with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Site, or to provide you certain information about our programs, activities, and initiatives.
  • You may contact us to request that we update, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to applicable limitations (for example, we may need to retain personal information you request us to delete for tax and administrative purposes);
  • If you do not wish to receive our newsletter or other information from us via email, you can opt out of such communications (except for emails related to your donations to New Destiny and/or any other related administrative information that we are required to provide) by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our email messages.

We retain information as long as it is reasonably necessary and relevant for our operations, and/or to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, or enforce our Terms or other agreements.

We apply reasonable safeguards designed to protect the integrity and security of your information; however, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, so we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us through the Site, and you do so at your own risk.

This Site is controlled and operated by New Destiny in the United States (in the State of New York), and is not intended for, nor targeted to, persons residing outside the United States.

We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of the Site are directed to persons under 13 years of age.  If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Site at any time or in any manner.  If we learn that information has been collected through the Site from persons under 13 years of age and without verifiable parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.  If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 13 years of age has provided us with information, please  contact us at privacypolicy@newdestinyhousing.org to request that we delete such information from our systems.
