Domestic violence is an issue that holds deep, personal meaning for Lauren. As a survivor herself, she understands the pain, fear, and isolation that victims often endure. In 2021, Lauren turned that pain into purpose by co-founding a nonprofit organization in Baltimore dedicated to raising awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence and fundraising for local programs that support survivors.
As a nurse of eight years with a background in emergency medicine and cardiology, she’s always been drawn to helping others—whether in moments of crisis or on the path to healing. Lauren believes deeply in the power of service and has built her life around the idea that real change begins within our local communities.
While her nursing career has given her the skills to care for physical wounds, her work with domestic violence survivors speaks to a different kind of healing—one rooted in advocacy, connection, and empowerment. Supporting victims of domestic violence isn’t just something she cares about—it’s something she’s exceptionally passionate about and committed to for life.
